A Memory Bear for Jaxs

This memory bear was made from my brother's jeans and pocket t-shirt which was his uniform of choice as a auto mechanic.  I used light brown fleece for the head, hands, and feet.  The bear pants were made from his jeans and the bear shirt made from his t-shirt.  The bear shirt has a small chest pocket with a red felt heart to symbolize his love for his grandson, Jaxs.  My brother also had a cat.

The cat was made using an "in the hoop" embroidery file.  I also embroidered "PawPaw" on one foot and "Greg Pruitt 1964-2023" on the other foot.

Back of the bear has the Wrangler tag from the jeans and smaller versions of the belt loops.

A Quilt for Seth's Boy

This is the front of the quilt.  It is a crib-size quilt (45 x 60 in).
The chevron pattern was created by alternating placement of rectangle shapes.
Fabrics are Auburn University prints combined with white and orange solids.
Some were purchased locally, most were ordered from Fabric.com.
This is the back of the quilt.  Blue and Orange  'camo' print.
I added the center strip to make the backing fabric wide enough.
Close-up of the pillowcase.  This fits a travel size pillow.

A Pillow for Bryce

This is the front of the pillowcase.
The fabric matches the corner fabric on Bryce's quilt.
(see last picture in this post)

This is the back of the pillowcase.
It has Bryce's birth information embroidered on it.
The fabric used was left over from making the quilt.
The travel size pillow was purchased from Hobby Lobby.

This is Bryce's quilt which I made one year ago before he was born.
The pillow was completed for his first birthday party.

Warm Blanket Trio

What do you do when it snows in Alabama?
You have a sew day!

It was a good time to make warm blankets.
These are made from minky dot fabric.
After doing the embroidery, I sewed them right sides together
turned them and sewed a zig-zag stitch around the edge.
They are heavy and hopefully will be warm.

The embroidery font is 'egg basket' from Jolsons Designs.

A Quilt for Baby Boy Earl #3

Here's the quilt I made for my great nephew.
The printed squares are from a fabric storybook panel.
I hand quilted the printed squares and machine quilted
in the sashings and borders.

The back of the quilt has the baby's name and birth info
machine embroidered in yellow thread.

I believe he likes it!

Wedding Gifts - Towels

I used the Empire monogram font for all of these towel sets.

I enlarged it to about 4 inches for the bath towels
and reduced it to about 3 inches for the hand towels.

These gray towels were done for Hilary & John
who will be married in December.

The thread colors are black and yellow.

I also embroidered first names on the wash cloths.
(John has one also but it's not in the photo)

Auburn Dreams

My nephew Laine will be 13 tomorrow.
He asked for an Auburn pillowcase.

I really like how the orange/white stripe trim turned out.
Sweet (Auburn) Dreams!

Boy Things

I got the opportunity to make a few cute shirts for a little "Auburn" boy.
This one will be a cute tailgating shirt.

This one - for baseball season, has his dad's baseball number
and their last name.

And this one - well,  because he has "Auburn" roots!

My Version of a "Taggie"

Here is my version of a Taggie blanket.
This one measures 15" x 19" not including the ribbons.
There are 16 satin ribbon loops in light pink, hot pink, yellow,
and a white with pastel footprint pattern.
Fabric is minky dot (on both sides).

I have enough of the pink minky to make another one of these. If anyone would like to order one, please email me.  I can use same or different ribbon colors.  I can do a 3-letter monogram as shown or one name.  $20.00 plus shipping costs if applicable.
