A Memory Bear for Jaxs

This memory bear was made from my brother's jeans and pocket t-shirt which was his uniform of choice as a auto mechanic.  I used light brown fleece for the head, hands, and feet.  The bear pants were made from his jeans and the bear shirt made from his t-shirt.  The bear shirt has a small chest pocket with a red felt heart to symbolize his love for his grandson, Jaxs.  My brother also had a cat.

The cat was made using an "in the hoop" embroidery file.  I also embroidered "PawPaw" on one foot and "Greg Pruitt 1964-2023" on the other foot.

Back of the bear has the Wrangler tag from the jeans and smaller versions of the belt loops.

California National Parks Quilt

This California National Parks quilt was made for my son who lives in California.  It features four California National Parks: Sequoia, Lassen Volcanic, Yosemite, and Redwood.

I purchased a quilt kit for this quilt from Villa Rosa Designs.
It included everything needed except the batting and backing fabric.
For the backing, I used a gray wide backing purchased from Hobby Lobby.  I quilted this with an allover meandering design.  This photo was taken before the binding was sewn on.

This quilt was made from a fabric panel called Farm Life by Henry Glass.

I made this quilt for a great nephew, Trae in July of 2018.

A Quilt for Seth's Boy

This is the front of the quilt.  It is a crib-size quilt (45 x 60 in).
The chevron pattern was created by alternating placement of rectangle shapes.
Fabrics are Auburn University prints combined with white and orange solids.
Some were purchased locally, most were ordered from Fabric.com.
This is the back of the quilt.  Blue and Orange  'camo' print.
I added the center strip to make the backing fabric wide enough.
Close-up of the pillowcase.  This fits a travel size pillow.

A Quilt for Charlotte

I made this crib-sized quilt for a new great niece, Charlotte
who is due to arrive around March 2, 2016.
It is made from a fabric panel called "Whoo Me?" that I ordered from Fabric.com
The borders around the panel were cut from a coordinating border print fabric.

I also made a pillow case from the border print fabric for a travel-size pillow.

The quilt binding was made from this fabric.

The back of the quilt was made from this fabric,
which matches the leaves on the trees (front of quilt).

This is the border print that I used around the panel.
